I WENT FOR A WALK... (9TH JULY 2007)

From Derby to god knows where (towards Ashbourne)

Pretty cool looking miniature train station that goes right around the park.

The white building in the distance is my former university. It reminds me of the John Smith film The Black Tower. Made up of still shots and narration it was about a man who gets obsessed with a tower he keeps seeing but always remains the same distance away from it. Somehow it kills him. Anyway the University always seemed at a distance no matter where I was and i could usually see no matter where i was.

Once i had finished up in the park i just decided to keep on going. when i exited the park i was suddenly in the countryside so i just went up the road and walked along the main roads. On the way i passed a crematorium, i wanted to take a picture of it but decided not to, partly because there was a policeman on guard at the gate. The next picture i took was some distance away as you can see from where the University is.

The main road which i continued to walk up.

Hairy caterpillar. I would of took more photos but my camera was low on battery power and was shutting off after 1 or 2 photos at a time.

I decided to keep going until i could at least find somewhere i could buy a drink. The hotel wasn't to be the place. I kept going for possibly another half mile, unfortunately i didn't make it to any town or village like i hoped but did get to a petrol station.

I really wanted to just go up one of these trees and just sleep there for the rest of the afternoon. probably would of got shot or something. If it was scotland i would at least have the 'right to roam' to do it legally. So instead i headed back

Home sweet home?

The Living Flame!? Sounds rad, I would of seen that if my feet weren't killing me.

I having interesting combination. The road going left is where i came from, the road behind is where i went for over a mile or so, the road in front (off screen) is where i was going)

I went off the road and through some grass...

Over a mini swamp...

...and ended up in the crematorium garden!

Don't know if this was left here on purpose or just dropped. odd place to leave it.

The crematorium, would of preferred a shot from the front. I didn't go any further as there were two more guards hanging around (who died!?), plus i didn't want to interrupt the service.

Back i go...

And back off track i go...

Back in the park where i started! Well guess it's time to go home then...
